Operations
Operations for division 7 include safety patrols on the lakes around norther Utah, Deer creek reservoir, Utah lake, Jordonelle Reservoir, strawberry reservoir, and others. It also includes assisting the park rangers in search and rescue activities if someone gets lost or hasn't returned. We also work with the park Rangers in training activities, and exercises. To accomodate this effort the following searchs patterns are practiced and can be used:
another usefull tool is the Gar Planning worksheet which gives the coxain a view of safety issues and the feasability of the patrol.
The boats have been put up for the winter, and we will be working on getting them ready for use and doing patrols. On memorial day weekend we will have boats on Utah Lake, Jordonelle, Strawberry Reservoir, Flaming Gorge, and others if we can.. Future patrols are planned for these lakes and otheres. Look for us out on the lake. We will have the flags out.
