Member Training
Morris Farmer will be teaching a hamm technician radio license on Wednesday evenings and is open to anyone. Also he will be teaching a general hamm radio license class on monday evenings

The Division held a Nav Rules class at DaCo Enterprises, 1820 Printers Row, West Valley City,Utah, last October, followed by a proctored exam. It was open to all members, crew and Future coxwains, and is needed for coxwain.
The Division, via Flotilla 78, held a Navigation training session on wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. All members of the division have been invited to attend. We had 9 members take the course, and 4 members take both tests. Of the four members that took the tests, none passed. One of the members retook the exams and passed both of them. congratulations. the other three are studying to retake the tests.
On the water patrols and training exercises commenced on Memorial day weekend and going untill labor day, or a little beyond.We had patrols at Strawberry Reservoir, Jordonelle, deer Creek, Utah Lake state Park, and Bear Lake.
The division held an optrex training exercise at Strawberry Reservoir on aug 6 thru the 9. members who needed qual pass offs and requal pass offs were on the water Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A Saturday evening dinner social was held at the conference room at the marina from 7 to 9, all had good food and good conversation..
