Division 7 - Utah!

Division 7 is Coast Guard Sector San Francisco’s eastern portion of the 11th North Coast Guard District which covers northern California, Nevada, and Utah. We provide the Sector with assistance in all of their duties except law enforcement. Since there are no regular Coast Guard stations in Utah, we are the Coast Guard here. We also provide training assistance and operational support for Utah Parks, National Parks at Lake Powell, and various Sherriff’s departments throughout the state.

Division 7 provides assistance to the boating public of Utah by providing boating education opportunities, vessel safety checks, and to conduct safety patrols and assist in special events such as triathlons, paddleboard and sailing races on most of Utah’s lakes and reservoirs.

We are a volunteer organization staffed by people who care about boating safety and the welfare of their fellow boaters. We are people who wanted to enhance our boating knowledge and skill with America’s premiere boating organization.

Each year, Auxiliarists volunteer more than two million hours benefiting boaters and their families across the nation.

Vessel safety checks, harbor and safety patrols, safe boating courses, search and rescue, marine environmental protection, public education are just a few of the services provided by the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
